Ozark Literacy Council would like to thank the local art community for participating in our Community Art Project: PIGShibition.
This event is designed to support the Ozark Literacy Council and you, our vast and talented local artist community. Over the next 3 seasons this campaign will bring awareness to the literacy issues present in Northwest Arkansas and showcase a variety of prized artists. The 2012 season’s deadline has passed but if you are interested in submitting for either of the next two seasons, contact us!
PIGShibition is now here in the city of Fayetteville! The locally created, fiberglass PIG sculptures are being sponsored throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall by community members and corporations, artfully decorated by you–our local artists–then displayed throughout our beautiful city during the Summer and Fall through early 2013 Spring season. The PIGS will then auctioned off for charity on March 14, 2013 at the Piggies go to Market finale event. This inaugural community art project is sure to be a success and we hope that you will want to be involved.
