Karen Ahuja moved to Fayetteville in the summer of 2011 with her husband and three children. She has watched her family thrive in Fayetteville. While the Ahuja family is enjoying meeting new friends, exploring the area and learning about NWA, Karen has been able to use this new season in life to renew her passion for art. The Ohio native has always enjoyed art as a hobby, but over the past year she has been able to use her talents to build a portfolio, start a small business, and teach at The Art Location.
Karen is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati in the Design, Art, Architecture and Planning college. She studied Graphic Design and has a Masters in Marketing from Xavier University. In January of 2011, Karen started her own business selling commission paintings. Her artwork is hung at local businesses, sold in local galleries and online. Her artwork has been exhibited and awarded at the Artist of Northwest Arkansas show. She also offers adult classes and workshops at The Art Location primarily in acrylic mediums.
It is a new season in Karen’s life. Now that all the kids are in school during the day, she is able to focus on her passion to paint. She absolutely loves painting and she especially loves painting for her family and friends.
