Mary Jo Gover is a self taught artist living in the Ozarks.
Professionally, she is a nurse that spends much of her free time gardening, sewing, beading, and working with glass. Artistically, she is eclectic in her mediums and will take up a paint brush with the same enthusiasm that she takes up a glass cutter.
Her work includes creating the winning poster design for a national campaign to improve bone marrow donations for Native Americans, sponsored by the American Red Cross in 1992, cover art for the book Vision Quest in 1999, and a mural painted in 1995 in Hominy, Oklahoma.
A resilient optimist, she is excited to be taking part in the PIGShibition project and looks forward to her work helping the community she loves so much.
