Micheal Davis Gutierrez was born Michael Davis and raised outside of Conway Arkansas. His father and mother were amateur naturalists often helping him to classify the reptiles and amphibians he captured. This helped him to build a great curiosity for the world around him and more importantly taught him to see minute detail.
Earning a D in junior high art dissuaded him from perusing further art training in Highschool. While attending the University of Central Arkansas he had to fulfill a fine arts credit and so took a drawing class. He fell in love with art and never looked back.
After working as an artist in North Carolina. He moved Fayetteville Arkansas to be closer to his family. He soon met and married Sonia Gutierrez. They both changed their last names to Davis Gutierrez.
Michael Davis Gutierrez is currently a stone sculptor in Fayetteville. He has shown in museums, universities galleries and internationally. He was honored to sculpt the pig for the Pishibition.
